Experience
I'm a tutor based in Boston, Massachusetts. I'm a native French speaker with a master's degree in management, focusing specifically on accounting and financial studies. I also have a strong depth of knowledge in the subjects of life science and health care. I'm hoping to eventually earn my master's degree in this area. However, my main educational passion is foreign languages. For as long as I can remember I've helped classmates, relatives, and friends improve their language skills. This led me to become an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, which I did for two years. During my time as an ESL teacher I worked with students of all levels "” beginner to advanced. I expanded the scope of a traditional ESL lesson by focusing on culture, which I believe is a key component to really mastering a foreign language. That being said, I make sure to adapt my teaching style to each specific student's needs. I allow a student to develop confidence and mastery of one lesson before moving on to the next. After working in this area for a long time, I've found that this is the best way to ensure strong results. Outside of the classroom I love to play tennis, dance the salsa, go hiking, and volunteer in the community. I hope that I can help you achieve your educational goals!
