I earned a master's degree at the University of Massachusetts in electrical engineering, and I earned a doctoral degree at the University of Texas in mechanical engineering. I have a strong academic background in engineering, physics, and math. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others to help them understand concepts and develop problem-solving skills. My philosophy as a tutor is to lead students through the problem-solving process, providing guidance along the way without giving away answers. This help students become self-sufficient in their ability to apply their knowledge to solve problems successfully. I encourage my students to embrace this process and find answers on their own, motivating them to become independent learners. I tutor calculus one through three, differential equations, geometry, pre-calculus, algebra one and two, algebra 3/4, mechanical engineering, physics through the college level, and other related subjects. I also can assist students in learning Mandarin Chinese. In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing and spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy music, riding my bike, swimming, sketching, and painting. My other major interest is traveling, and I've been to Europe and Central America.
