Experience
My role as a tutor is to use my experience and ability as a communicator and problem solver to help my pupils learn new skills while reaching and exceeding their academic goals. My teaching style includes experiential learning. I teach my students by having them practice. Instead of just giving my pupils problems to solve, I give them skills and framework to solve the problems. I wholeheartedly believe that learning happens when problem solving and effective communication meet. Especially when it comes to math and physics. Through communicating, we build a foundation of problem-solving and a foundation of knowledge, which allows us to make that knowledge into usable data. I have over ten years of teaching and tutoring experience and my undergraduate and master's degrees in physics. I did enjoy physics research, but I enjoyed how challenging it was to teach it more, which led to my current career in teaching math and science. I would love to help you or your child reach your academic goals. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy long distance running, visual arts, and studying science concepts.
